Air Canada Club
Established in 1999 with the opening of Air Canada Centre, the club is designed to provide Premium, Executive and Loge seat holders an opportunity to dine on sophisticated comfort food while watching events from a prime 200 level location, before or during the game.
Unique to the club are the Air Canada Club Rail seats, an amenity that allows fans to sit along the rail of the first row of club seats for a great view of concerts and major sporting events. These fans have the convenience of casual dining or drinks throughout the entire event. With a bird's eye view of the event floor below, they are able to see not only games and concerts, but an exciting behind-the-scenes look at what happens before the events, including set-up and preparations.
The Air Canada Club boasts two large standup bars featuring martinis, premium wine by the glass and quality beer brewed on the premises. While the menu is updated seasonally, favourites include grilled Atlantic salmon, Canadian AAA striploin and smoked chicken with linguine. A variety of appetizers and desserts balance the main courses and complete any meal.
The décor and atmosphere of the room itself offers comfortable contemporary style. The tables and walls are a combination of rich dark woods such as mahogany and oak, complemented by a light maple. On the walls, photos of hockey and basketball greats are showcased behind glass and illuminated by small lights. Dark brown velvet drapery and plush leather seating line the back of the club. Soft lighting surrounds the long marble bar, while silver and stainless steel accent the entire restaurant. Interaction is the key here, as the ambience is warm and spirited, with excited fans enjoying the game, sharing good food, friendship and conversation.
The Air Canada Club is overseen by Executive Chef, Brad Long. In 2000-2001, the restaurant was awarded the Eat Smart! award of distinction by the City of Toronto, meeting high standards of nutrition and food safety in a non-smoking environment.
