Club Bios

Please join us in welcoming a group of new recruits to the F & B department. They will be supporting our already successful culinary team. Their passion for great service will excite every fan through their performance and pride in MLSE's winning team of restaurants.

Eddie Sanmiya joined the F & B team late last year as the Assistant Manager of the Hot Stove Lounge and was promoted to Manager of the same for this upcoming season. He brings a solid background from 9 years of experience with the Shoeless Joes franchise helping build the brand and it's offshoots including Honey's Bistro. He has a genuine love of team sports and brings a winning attitude to the MLSE team.

Shawn Cooper has been hired as Manager of the Platinum Club after serving as the Assistant Manager last year. Her career has included working in the radio broadcasting business as a copywriter and as a reporter on such topics as restaurants, food writing, biographies and movie reviews. She says her "passion lies in the restaurant industry" and her twenty years of experience at places like the Rosewood Piano Bar and Lakes Restaurant and Wine Bar are a testament to that.

Rosie Scavuzzo has joined the F & B team as the Manager of the newly renovated Air Canada Club. Her background includes Restaurant Management, Brand Management and Special Events. She was pivotal to the success of Indian Motorcycle Café from 1999-2004, hosting several high profile events such as the Rolling Stones, N'SYNC, and the Juno's. She has a vivacious personality and a natural passion for this industry.

Rik Ocvirk has been hired as the Senior Manager, Restaurants. He will be overseeing the operations of the three restaurants at the Air Canada Centre. His experience includes over 12 years of operations and in the building of new restaurants and their brands. Past experiences include Lobby Lounge and Restaurant, Indian Motorcycle Café, Coco Lezzone, Planet Hollywood and The Saloon Hospitality Corp. He is a graduate of McMaster University and the proud coach of two of his three children's soccer team.
