Bio:

With her fresh approach to teaching, passion for wine, and true professionalism, Jennifer Huether-Vranjes has earned the respect of clients and colleagues, making her one of only a handful of true wine experts in Canada.

As a valued collaborator and consultant, Jennifer worked as a Sommelier for Oliver and Bonacini Restaurants, Ruth's Chris Steak House in Toronto and is currently the Sommelier for Maple Leaf Sport's and Entertainment at the Air Canada Center. She has created award winning wine lists, developed and implemented extensive wine training programs for many different restaurants and worked as a Sommelier in every possible dining experience.

Jennifer's passion for wine and wine knowledge has driven her to extensive studies.

She graduated top of her class at the International Sommelier Guild in 2000 and went on to gain the Diploma of Wine and Spirits from IWEG in 2003. Jennifer was then accepted into the Advanced Sommelier Program from the Court of Master Sommeliers and gained accreditation in the first round of testing in 2004 in London, England. Now a Master Sommelier Candidate, she is poised to gain the top certification for Sommeliers in the World.

Jennifer is a very active member of the wine community, and won the title of 'the Best Ontario Sommelier, 2006' awarded by CAP'S as well as being voted 'the Best Sommelier in Toronto' by wine guru Tony Aspler in 2006. Jennifer participates in hundreds of tastings a year, constantly honing her skills, knowledge and palate. Jennifer's favourite pastime is traveling to wine regions around the world and creating exciting wine lists.

An active member of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers Jennifer is driven to learn and share her knowledge with others and bring professional wine courses to the Air Canada Centre.
