Here at the Air Canada Centre we have chosen a unique selection of wines produced in outstanding vintages that include cult status, classic favourites and boutique wineries from the most respected producers around the world.
Our extensive list includes over 600 labels with a focus on red wines from California, Ontario, Italy and Australia. We are proud to offer Kosher wines in red, white and dessert styles, and have started a collection of organic and biodynamic wines to enhance and diversify your choices.
In order to achieve our goals, we took our 'fans' entire dining experience into consideration. Firstly, was the installation of a Verre de Vin system from France, that preserves opened bottles of wine for a longer period of time allowing us to offer a higher quality 'by the glass' wine program. Secondly, the perfect crystal stemware was sought out in order to suit our large range of wines. Finally, in order to keep wine top of mind, we offer frequent tasting and training seminars to our service staff. We believe we have evaluated all aspects and have set formidable standards for our Wine Program and are proud to offer our expertise to enhance your dining experience.
For your ease of use and viewing pleasure we have arranged our list based on the following criteria. Our list reads first by country, then region and followed by grape varietals. The body of our wine list consists of an international selection of white and red dry still wines. The introductory page features a global selection of wines by the glass with a large range of styles and price points. Page three highlights sparkling wines & Champagne by the glass, bottle or half bottle and large format. Our fourth page takes you into an exciting half bottle and large format bottle program. Finally we re-sort the list into vertical selections and have added some unique new red wines to our Sommelier's pick from around the world. On this page we offer a selection of hand picked some of the most sought after wines from around the globe. On the last page you will find our large selection of dessert and port wines offered both by the glass and the bottle.
Our efforts have been acknowledged by receiving the following awards:
- 2002 - 2007 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence
- 2004 - 2007 Ontario VQA Wine Award of Excellence
Our Master Sommelier Candidate, Jennifer Huether-Vranjes, who currently holds the title of the 'Top Sommelier in Ontario' awarded by the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers, enhances staff knowledge by instructing them in the internationally recognized Wine Spirit Education Trust Certification course. Together with our Assistant Sommeliers, Melissa Stunden, Lorie O'Sullivan and knowledgeable staff we would love to help you choose that perfect wine to compliment your culinary selections.
